IHB4 Series

All IHB4 models are slightly under wound to provide a space, needed to accept an additional middle magnet (mm) between the two HB pickup coils. The middle magnet, makes the signal creating string area bigger which in terms delivers stronger, heavier, and more ‘dimensional’ guitar tone.
IHB4mm models contain an Alnico 5/Alnico 2 main magnet and an additional middle magnet for expanding the signal creating string area. The IHB4mm pickup will produce about 1.25 times stronger output, compared to the output of a traditional HB pickup with same number of turns and having just the main magnet loaded.
In addition to the increased output the tone quality of the IHB4mm pickup is significantly improved.
IHB4msm models contain an Alnico 5/Alnico 2 main magnet, a middle magnet for expanding the signal creating string area AND a bottom side magnet (bsm) for decreasing of the magnetic strength in one of the coils.
In this way the IHB4msm pickup will sound like a heavy single coil pickup tonally close to the famous P90 style pickups and without noise.
A single IHB4 pickup, is optionally capable to deliver at least 4 different soundings (without noise) depending on the permanent magnets arrangement.
