Enjoy the chiming single coil pickup tone
The PGNCS-JBV is a hum canceling system built into the pickguard. 5 string Mexican style jazz basses can be regrofitted with the PGNCS-JBV
This newest application of our hum canceling technology effectively cancels the noise, while keeping the true single coil pickup tone intact.
- Unscrew the original guitar pickguard
- Modify the pickup output wires to meet the schematic
- Run the PGNCS-JBV wires to the control cavity and solder the wires to the existing guitar electronics
- Assemble back the guitar and you are ready to play hum-free.

The PGNCS-JBV hum canceling operation will not perform properly with any “in series” or “out of phase” pickup connections.

Hi Ilitch,
Believe it or not, I played my bass with new pickups last night for the
first time since the tour started. Everyone immediately noticed the
improved sound, including myself! The general consensus was that it was
much clearer and punchier.
Can’t wait to send you my other bass.
